Senior Manager, People Group Strategic Initiatives Project & Change Manager

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Manager to join our People Group organization, focusing on the optimization, and management of our People Group Strategic Initiatives Projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, HR processes, and Workday software, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with our overall HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Support overall strategy, collectively presenting all projects in comprehensive reviews for prioritization, planning and execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management
- Monitors project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project members.
- Liaises with Subject Matter Experts to execute against project deliverables, determining best approach for GEICO and executing against timelines to successful project completion
- Facilitate regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or changes in scope.
Change Management
- Creates and facilitates change management strategy and framework for associated projects and overall people group strategy to ensure adoption and communication of key changes based on persona impact
- Leads by bringing a creative and innovative approach to embed strategic solutions at every stage of the talent lifecycle
- Partners with communications to create collateral for all relevant cross-functional stakeholders- various people group teams and partners, business partners, leadership, vendors, engineering, HRBPs, candidates, etc.
Technology Partnership:
- Partner with technology in support of minor and major projects throughout the People Group and associate lifecycle
- Identify opportunities for optimization and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Workday platform.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to align Workday functionalities with strategic HR goals.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact between HR, IT, and other relevant departments for People Group projects.
- Encourages and support team collaboration and communication; Embracing inclusivity in leading teams and encouraging diverse opinions
- Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to convey project deliverables, design milestones, ensure deadline adherence and escalate issues & concerns
Data Management and Reporting:
- Partner with data and analytics teams when necessary to determine metrics impacts of projects, facilitate changes, and track impact of associated project implementations to support data-driven decision-making.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Stay updated on Workday updates, HR trends, and best practices
- Participate in industry forums and Workday user groups to share knowledge and stay abreast of new features and functionalities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of project management experience, with a focused on HR systems and processes.
- Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail. Experience with Workday platform in a large, matrixed organization. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Annual Salary
$91,225.00 - $172,200.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
