About The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant to support the architecture, deployment, and optimization of Red Hat OpenStack Platform (OSP) 18 in secure and complex enterprise environments. The consultant will provide design, engineering, integration, and automation expertise across multiple environments, enabling scalable private cloud infrastructure solutions using Red Hat’s OpenStack stack.

 

Job Duties:

• Lead deployment, configuration, and management of Red Hat OpenStack Platform (OSP) 18.
• Design and implement high-availability, multi-node OpenStack clusters tailored to customer use cases.
• Integrate OSP with core infrastructure components, including Red Hat Satellite, Ceph Storage, and identity providers (LDAP, Keystone).
• Automate cloud infrastructure using Ansible, TripleO, or Red Hat Director tools.
• Support network configuration and troubleshooting, including Neutron, SDN plugins, and VLAN/VXLAN setups.
• Enable monitoring, logging, and performance optimization for production-grade OpenStack environments.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support hybrid cloud and edge deployment architectures.
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to operational teams.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met, especially in DoD/IC environments if applicable.

 

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in Linux systems engineering, with 3+ years in OpenStack environments.

   

• Deep hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform (versions 13–18).

   

• Proven experience with RHOSP 16.x or 18.x, including major component services: Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Horizon.

   

• Familiarity with Red Hat Ceph Storage, Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat Satellite.

   

• Strong background in networking (VLANs, VXLANs, SDN), virtualization (KVM), and storage architecture.

   

• Experience with TripleO deployment, Heat templates, and custom environment configurations.

   

• Proficiency with RHEL (7/8/9) and supporting tools.

Nice to Have:

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenStack Administration
• Experience with Kubernetes integration (OpenShift on OpenStack)
• Familiarity with cloud security and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, STIGs, DISA)
• Previous consulting experience in federal or defense environments
