The VDI virtualization team is supporting a “Vital” platform ( RTO=0 / RPO=60min) that provide virtual desktops for roughly 4000 users worldwide.

We are currently seeking an experienced VDI Administrator to join our team in major financial group. As a VMware Expert (VDI) - Production Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the stability, security, and performance of our critical Windows-based systems, ensuring seamless operation of the bank's IT infrastructure.

This is a team creation to manage VMware VDI virtualization platforms.
This mission is subject to structural constraints, ad-hoc interventions during non-business hours and working shift from 8 am to 1 pm and 12:30 pm to 7 pm. May be required to work nights and/or weekends during (un)planned outages and other special circumstances

Missions

  • Manage the VDI Horizon virtualization platform.

  • Ensure the availability of technical resources.
  • Maintain information system applications in operational condition for quality, productivity and security.
  • Analyze the operational risks and customer impacts of its area of responsibility
  • Contribute to reliability, securing and optimizing security in its area of responsibility
  • Ensuring the right level of service quality in line with the requirements of service contracts (SLA) in their area of responsibility
  • Deliver and maintain ESXi, NSX, VSAN infrastructures.
  • Documentation: Create and update process/configuration documentation for many tasks and project requirements
  • Provide support level 2~3 for Desktop teams.
  • Manage and deliver Changes.
  • Analyze and correct incidents
  • Implement technical resolution solutions of incidents. Perform diagnostics to identify causes of malfunction, propose and implement "back-up" fixes and solutions.
  • Handle and respond to requests.
    Resolve issues.
  • Perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, troubleshooting of Horizon View, vSAN and ESXi.
  • Strong operational skills on ESXi, Horizon View, NSX, VSAN, vROPS.
  • Strong scripting tools and script writing skills (PowerShell )

Qualifications

What we’re looking for 

Qualifications and Hard Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a VDI Administrator, preferably in the financial or banking sector.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and experience working within ITIL-based environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to analyze the impact of production events (changes, incidents, problems, etc.) in relation to SLA. Ability to manage high impact incidents (Functional) : Expert
  • System: Linux (RedHat, CentOS), Windows 201x (Technical / Technological) : Intermediate
  • Powershell (Technical / Technological) : Expert
  • Networks (Technical / Technological) : intermediate
  • Troubleshooting (Functional) : Expert
  • Scripting (Technical / Technological) : Expert
  • Vmware Horizon View (Technical / Technological) : Expert
  • Vmware (Technical / Technological) : Expert
  • VMware NSX (Technical / Technological) : Expert
  • VMware vROPS (Technical / Technological) : Expert
  • VMware VSAN (Technical / Technological) : Expert

Soft Skills:

  • Good level of English - minimum B2 (mandatory);
  • Good level of French is a nice to have (but not mandatory, also language classes are provided);
  • Ability to keep up with a demanding and fast-paced environment;
  • Willingness to learn and develop;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a team.
