About the Team:
RaptorDB is ServiceNow’s next-generation HTAP (Hybrid Transactional/Analytical Processing) database platform—launched in 2024 and rapidly becoming foundational to our platform’s performance, scalability, and intelligence. ServiceNow customers work with a massive and diverse set of data to enable intelligent workflows across their businesses.
Our vision is to evolve RaptorDB into a full multi-modal data platform and provide a comprehensive set of data and compute services for the variety of data customers use in their workflows.
About the Role:
ServiceNow is seeking a highly technical and customer-obsessed Senior Principal Inbound Product Manager (Data Platform, Databases) to join the RaptorDB product team.
This role focuses on computational services with an emphasis on massively parallel processing (MPP) engines. Candidates should be familiar with popular platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Teradata, or Synapse and their uses across analytics, AI, ML, and business applications as well as ecosystem tools for business intelligence, ML, integration, and data processing.
Successful candidates will be able to navigate complex technologies and translate their usage into outsized value for our customers, partners, and internal business units.
Product Strategy and Planning
· Drive product vision and strategy that sets us up for success as we look to scale to $20B+ in revenue.
· Collaborate with customers, researchers, and architects on developing and testing innovative product ideas.
· Continually define and groom epic and story product roadmap with 3-4 release horizon.
· Engage stakeholders on necessary inputs for product strategy & roadmap, get buy-in, manage communications, expectations and dependencies.
Requirements Prioritization and Release Management
· Establish and maintain relationships with the other BUs to evaluate and manage cross-BU dependencies (both from and to the BU).
· Create product/feature plans for each release, including acceptance criteria, use cases, success metrics, and related documentation.
· Collaborate with engineering team on release management to understand status, risks, dependencies and help address risks and resolve issues.
· Gather, prioritize and define requirements (while actively grooming backlog) into executable epics and user stories for engineering.
Customer Insights
· Define key product success metrics and ensure they are instrumented & reviewed.
· Know top 3-5 customers intimately, their specific use cases, gains and pains.
· Understand use cases by BU to better serve internal customers.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- 12+ years experience in Product Management or equivalent experience in a technical role such as software development or SRE selling and shipping software for used by other Enterprises (versus internally facing software and platforms).
- Domain expertise in one or more enterprise databases and/or data platforms.
- Strong prioritization skills and the discipline to focus on high impact activities.
- Experience defining and capturing product requirements and transforming them into a product roadmap.
- Deep curiosity about customer needs and a track record in building customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Ability to serve as a team lead, and coach employees at lower levels.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $187,600 - $328,300, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits.
