Directs the admission of undergraduates. May also be responsible for the admission of graduate and professional students, or for scholarship administration or similar functions.

Director of Graduate Admissions

Frostburg State University (FSU), Office of Admissions seeks applications for a full-time, exempt  Director of Graduate Admissions. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Position includes the robust University System of Maryland benefits package, which is comprised of annual, personal, and sick leave, holidays, tuition remission, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and retirement plans.

Responsibilities:

• Directs and leads the operations for graduate admissions to include face to face and online programs
• Provides supervision and support for graduate admissions staff
• Works closely with senior leadership with strategic planning, execution of strategies, and assessment for continuous improvements
• Oversee policies, processes, and procedures that impact graduate enrollment
• Serves as a liaison to Academic Colleges, Departments, and faculty committees
• Manages operational budget and recruitment expenditures
• Collaboration with Marketing and Communications Department
• Understanding the role of technology, CRM, and other platforms
• Provides guidance and support for faculty in making admissions decisions
• Assists senior leadership in developing a strategic enrollment plan
• Analyzes and uses enrollment data, market trends, and predictive modeling

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree, preferably in higher education
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in higher education and a minimum of 2 years of supervision experience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of developing a Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) plan
• Ability to identify new markets and programs based on workforce data
• Experience with CRM and SIS platforms.
• Track record of enrollment growth through implementing innovation and creative strategies
• Demonstrative outcomes working with external stakeholders
• Leadership of collaboration, transparency, and accountability
