We are offering an exciting opportunity as Health & Safety Project Manager to be an important part in paving the way for Vattenfall and its customers and partners towards a fossil free future!
As Health & Safety Project Manager for one of our German O&M sites, you will be responsible to drive H&S compliance with the Vattenfall BA Wind safety procedures and statutory obligations throughout all the operations on the allocated site. You would provide independent, authoritative advice, support and assistance to O&M management on all matters of health and safety. You promote and maintains a positive safety culture where teamwork and care for each other are the key drivers to our aim of zero harm.

The H&S department for Offshore Projects and O&M consist of about 25 people. We are responsible to ensure that the H&S mission and vision of the organization (including the high level policy) gets properly implemented and lived-up to. We have a certified Health and Safety Management System, for which each member requires to support its implementation throughout the appointed sites.
Our long-term vision is to drive the sites and projects to a proficient maturity, where H&S is part of the DNA, and accidents are avoided at all times. Within the team we have a high focus on team development, where over the coming year significant attention will be provided to our team purpose of becoming a “high performing, reliant and resilient H&S team”.
What will you do?

As our new Health & Safety Project Manager will be an important ambassador to support this strategic priority across the board.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Further implement the Vattenfall Health & Safety management system within the offshore O&M projects organization
- Provide Health and Safety guidance, coaching and support towards the O&M projects organisation
- Drive and report upon the Health and Safety Performance, including incident management, and maturity
- Support in the H&S component of contractor management processes (procurement, contractor performance evaluation, audits,…)
- Drive H&S risk management within the O&M projects organization, support the development of Risk Assessments / Method Statements (RAMS) and monitor it’s compliance to Health and Safety during execution of the O&M projects
- Carry out Safety Inspections and Safety Meetings
- Support the behavior based safety program and coach site personnel in safety awareness Implement Lessons Learned, Safety alerts and other H&S code of practices within your area of control
- Support and maintain (plan, execute and follow up) emergency response arrangements, exercises, drills and liaison with emergency services;
- Be safety and health protection coordinator (Sicherheits- und Gesundheitsschutzkoordinator - SiGeKo)
Location
Work location can be in one of our offices in Hamburg or Berlin in Germany. Some travel to sites has to be expected.
