Senior Researcher - Fault-tolerant quantum computing (M/F)

A scientist who is at ease with teamwork and collaboration.<br/></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Your role</strong></p><ul> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Lead the development of fault-tolerant quantum algorithms and error-correction protocols.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Conduct and oversee simulations to validate the developed techniques.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Collaborate with hardware providers, software developers, and research institutions.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Mentor junior researchers and students involved in the project.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Stay updated with the latest advancements in quantum computing and quantum chemistry.</p></li> </ul><br/><p></p><p dir="ltr"><strong><em>Your Qualifications</em></strong></p><ul> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Phd in quantum computing or relative field.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Minimum of 5 years work experience in the quantum computing field. </p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Quantum computing background, with extensive experience in developing new fault tolerant algorithms, and performing resource estimation.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Development of quantum algorithms for chemistry application, with strong knowledge of universal techniques such as quantum phase estimation.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Good knowledge of fundamentals of classical numerical methods and theory of quantum chemistry, such as molecular orbitals theory, variational methods and perturbation theory is preferred. </p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, and familiarity with quantum computing frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, OpenFermion).</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Published high quality scientific research.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Strong experience of independent work, supervising junior colleagues/students.</p></li> </ul><p><br/></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>The proposal benefits &amp; perks</strong></p><ul> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Duration: Full time – Permanent</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Starting date: Starting from  September 2024</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Salary according to profile</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Health insurance and provident fund 100% covered</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Lunch vouchers worth €9 covered at 50%.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Possibility of remote work for 2 days per week.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Location: Paris 14th arrondissement</p></li> </ul>
