Medical Billing Specialist - Advanced MD (ZR_21712_JOB)

This is a remote position.

• Contract type: Independent Contractor
  
• Schedule: Flexible to client's business hours; 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday US Eastern Time (6:00 PM to 5:00 AM PHT)
  

• Claims Processing: Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies efficiently.
  
• Insurance Verification: Verify patients' insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
  
• Bill Review: Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and collect any missing information.
  
• Claim Follow-Up: Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframes to ensure timely resolution.
  
• Payment Verification: Check insurance payments for accuracy and compliance with contract discounts.
  
• Issue Resolution: Resolve billing issues and respond to inquiries from patients and insurance companies promptly.
  
• Software Utilization: Prepare, review, and transmit claims using AdvancedMD billing software.
  
• Regulation Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and policies to ensure compliance.
  
• Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of patient billing information and payment statuses.
  
• Provider Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
  

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist with a focus on AdvancedMD medical practice software.
  
• Insurance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of insurance policies including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems.
  
• Medical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare billing practices.
  
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in medical billing software, with a specific emphasis on AdvancedMD.
  
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all billing tasks.
