How will you make an impact in this role?
This position reports to the Director of the CFN Remediation Team.
To meet increasingly strict and diverse regulatory standards around the globe and ensure compliance of all of our operational processes, this dedicated team has been established to address Compliance and Regulatory Issues.
The CFN Remediation team partners closely with Compliance, Consumer, Small Business & Corporate, and Risk to maintain a compliant environment, while ensuring appropriate Customer treatment consistent with Relationship Care.
The Project Analyst will support and execute on customer remediation typically resulting from Corrective Actions and Loss Events. Strong cross functional business knowledge and the proven ability to identify cross business linkages is critical.
Key Responsibilities include:
The Analyst will be a part of the CFN Remediation Team and work with the process owners to ensure a consistent and superior customer experience for the Issue Owners we are supporting through the following:
- Ownership, oversight, and execution of account remediation tasks within end-to-end Manual Remediation
- Manage inventory, document actions taken, and update status on corrective actions and all remediation events
- Trigger communications through a centralized database
- Clearly outline and communicate specific requirements including deadlines and needed approvals for corrective action issue owners
- Educate issue owners on the corrective action manual remediation process
- Manage timelines and deliverables. and set expectations for Issue Owners to ensure Service levels are met
- Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements
- Document and retain all relevant closure documentation
Minimum Qualifications
- Flexibility in response to changing circumstances
- Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities to meet regulatory timelines
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Competency in Microsoft Office: including Excel, Access & PowerPoint
- Must be able to work and coordinate effectively with multiple teams on a single project
- Ability to interact cross-functionally and drive results
- Knowledge of American Express products, services and operational processes
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Remediation, Customer Service, Operational Excellence, Compliance, or Audit functions
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience
- Understanding of Bank/Credit Card Regulations
- General understanding of Manual Remediation requirements and execution
