Product Quality Expert (f/m/x)

We are passionate about sustainability and we are the fastest growing marketplace for refurbished products in Europe. We enable our customers to buy electronics such as smartphones, tablets or laptops up to 40% cheaper and in a more sustainable manner and save on average 80% in CO2 by buying refurbished opposed to new devices. 

We founded our company in February 2017 and grew to more than 300 employees in the last five years and already expanded from Germany and Austria to Italy, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and further European countries. Along the way we won several awards, completed three large funding rounds and have already sold hundreds of thousands of products. Our team has extensive international experience in the refurbishment industry, how to create a brand and how to scale a marketplace.

We are excited to expand our Sales and Account Management team - part of the Supply department - and are looking for a Product Quality Manager/Expert. In this position you are responsible for improving the product quality on the refurbed marketplace. You will work closely with our suppliers, act as an advisor to them and consult them in improving their processes as well as drive cross-functional initiatives to reach our quality targets within the company. 

 

Who you are:   

• You have 4+ years relevant work experience within the consumer electronics industry, preferably at a leading OEM (e.g., Apple, Samsung, Dell) and/or at a key player within the refurbishment industry (e.g., refurbisher, reseller) in roles with responsibility for Quality Assurance, Business Excellence, Process Improvement, Program Management, Consulting 
• You have a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field 
• You have excellent communication skills in English (oral and written) and min. one other European language  
• You have a proven track record of building positive, long-term relationships with business partners  
• You have a natural ability to influence others and driving strategic agendas with external and internal stakeholders 
• You are passionate to improve processes and have excellent project management skills combined with a can-do attitude that enable you to solve complex problems  
• You have excellent analytical skills and take a data driven approach in your work 
• You have a deep passion for technology and are excited to keep up with any technology trends that can shape the future of the refurbished electronics industry  
• You are used to a fast-paced, changing environment  
• You are flexible to travel up to 30% of your time within Europe 

 

What you will do:  

• You develop and execute a strategy to reach our product quality goals 
• You will identify and implement product quality improvement initiatives and measures along our supply chain and in close collaboration with our suppliers 
• You will consult and guide our suppliers in implementing product quality improvements and process improvements within their operations including visits to their facilities across Europe
• You coordinate cross-functional efforts to drive quality improvements across the company
• You collaborate closely with our supplier performance team, your colleagues from the sales & account management team, the customer happiness team and steering group amongst others
• You closely follow any industry trends and developments regarding refurbishment innovations – such as new innovative concepts – process optimization, and in close alignment with our Public Affairs team industry specific regulations that you will implement with our suppliers
• You build a network of interesting partners companies – together with the Supply Partnerships team – to refer to our suppliers 

 

Additional factors we appreciate: 

• You speak multiple European languages (German, Italian, French, Dutch, Danish, etc.)   
• You have experience working for a marketplace or in ecommerce
