Purpose of the Job/Description

• Maintain equipment, facilities and complete PMs

 

Organization/Reporting

• Hierarchical Reporting to Site Facilities Manager

 

Role and Responsibilies

• Monitor and maintain all the equipment on site definded in the maintenance plan
• Update the PM (preventative maintenance) and other documents including but not limited to maintenance checklists, ladder inspections etc.
• Create and update the work instruction sheets to conduct maintenance activities
• Organize and schedule maintenance accroding to the PM and production planning
• Perform hand tool repairs and/or organize the repalcement with warranty services
• Create spare parts stock and place orders for such
• Develop or be involved in setting of objectives to reduce production or operating costs/delays and improve project quality/safety
• Manufacture basic tools including but not limited to jigs, fixtures, hand tools, storage equipment
• Be autonomous in finding solutions and creating proposal sketches/drawings for tools and other equipment
• Organize and schedule tooling manufacturing by priority
• Work will typically be but not limited to production and EHS support, equipment repair and PMs
• Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentions above, as assigned by the supervisor/manager
• Millwright, welder, technician, mechanical or prior facility experience an asset

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years mechanical or facility technician experience
• Forklift, crance and scissor lift license is an asset
