Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Academic and End-User Technologies, the Associate eLearning Coordinator assists faculty, teachers, staff, and students with developing and improving technical and digital literacy.


 

Job Description:

  • Suggests and supports integration of technology into curricular, co-curricular, and business activities in support of the University and Clerc Center’s mission and goals; assists departments with technological concerns in forging strategy and implementation of a distributed learning plan for distance education; provides individual and group consultation and training; and develops training materials, strategies, and programs as needed. 

  • Assists faculty, teachers, staff, and students to incorporate technology in support of curricular, co-curricular, and business activities. 

  • Advises and consults with faculty, teachers, and staff on best practices in instructional design, particularly in seamless integration of technology in the classroom. 

  • Advises and assists faculty, teachers, and staff in creating technology-based and web-based learning materials and activities. 

  • Promotes interactive visual learning, including use of real-time video conferencing and asynchronous digital media. 

  • Assists in the identification, evaluation, and selection of learning technologies, instructional software, and learning delivery strategies for specific academic disciplines. 

  • Assists departments with technological concerns in forging strategy and implementation of a distributed learning plan for distance education.

  • Provides individual and group consultation and training. 

  • Contributes to developing general technology and digital literacy and understanding of academic applications among all campus constituents. 

  • Evaluates commercial training programs (books, CD-ROMs, online learning, on- and off-campus training facilities) and recommends for campus community use. 

  • Assesses user needs and provides appropriate training at the user’s level of need. 

  • Evaluates and reports on client satisfaction with training programs; and conducts surveys of technology use and needs. 

  • Establishes and maintains a positive and supportive working relationship with co-workers and supervisors.

  • Demonstrates a genuine commitment to belonging in the workplace and participates in activities and workshops to foster continuous learning.

  • Commits to completing Title IX training and other compliance requirements on an annual basis.

  • Prioritizes safety in the workplace as a collective responsibility for the well-being of employees and fosters a culture of safety that is integral to our success, including strict adherence to safety procedures and protocols, as well as promptly reporting any safety hazards or incidents.

  • Performs related and other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • A minimum of two years of experience with educational technology, course development, technical support and training, or a related field (college student work and/or internship experience will be considered).

  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language.
