Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Academic and End-User Technologies, the Associate eLearning Coordinator assists faculty, teachers, staff, and students with developing and improving technical and digital literacy.
Job Description:
Suggests and supports integration of technology into curricular, co-curricular, and business activities in support of the University and Clerc Center’s mission and goals; assists departments with technological concerns in forging strategy and implementation of a distributed learning plan for distance education; provides individual and group consultation and training; and develops training materials, strategies, and programs as needed.
Assists faculty, teachers, staff, and students to incorporate technology in support of curricular, co-curricular, and business activities.
Advises and consults with faculty, teachers, and staff on best practices in instructional design, particularly in seamless integration of technology in the classroom.
Advises and assists faculty, teachers, and staff in creating technology-based and web-based learning materials and activities.
Promotes interactive visual learning, including use of real-time video conferencing and asynchronous digital media.
Assists in the identification, evaluation, and selection of learning technologies, instructional software, and learning delivery strategies for specific academic disciplines.
Assists departments with technological concerns in forging strategy and implementation of a distributed learning plan for distance education.
Provides individual and group consultation and training.
Contributes to developing general technology and digital literacy and understanding of academic applications among all campus constituents.
Evaluates commercial training programs (books, CD-ROMs, online learning, on- and off-campus training facilities) and recommends for campus community use.
Assesses user needs and provides appropriate training at the user’s level of need.
Evaluates and reports on client satisfaction with training programs; and conducts surveys of technology use and needs.
Establishes and maintains a positive and supportive working relationship with co-workers and supervisors.
Demonstrates a genuine commitment to belonging in the workplace and participates in activities and workshops to foster continuous learning.
Commits to completing Title IX training and other compliance requirements on an annual basis.
Prioritizes safety in the workplace as a collective responsibility for the well-being of employees and fosters a culture of safety that is integral to our success, including strict adherence to safety procedures and protocols, as well as promptly reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
Performs related and other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
A minimum of two years of experience with educational technology, course development, technical support and training, or a related field (college student work and/or internship experience will be considered).
Ability to communicate in American Sign Language.
