Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Hartwell, GA (Day Shift)

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting production processes at the site by safely executing predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance of production and classification equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Electrical troubleshooting/repair of 480V/575V systems
• Preventative Maintenance (greasing, inspections, etc.)
• Mechanical troubleshooting, repair of pumps, piping, & replacing drive belts
• Welding of related process equipment
• Interacting with Maintenance Planner for the purpose of understanding priorities in scheduling, obtaining parts for scheduled work, and reporting issues found within the plants for future repair work
• Participate in behavioral based safety programs.
• Maintain electronic training and safety related inspections, and housekeeping of shop and service trucks.
• Participate in a rotating call-out system.
• Participate in weekly meetings and safety talks.

 

Education & Experience:

• HS diploma or GED
• 2+ years’ experience in multi-craft maintenance experience
• Requires completion of an Associate degree in Industrial Systems Technology or equivalent field. This can be earned while on the job but will require steady progress toward completion with continuous enrollment every semester until completed.
