About the role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Oversee the assessment, regulation, and preservation of environmental conditions to minimize adverse effects on the safety and occupational health of military and civilian employees; 2) Enforcing and overseeing mishap investigations, reporting, record keeping, and the systematic compilation and analysis of mishap report data to determine the severity of hazards to personnel and property; 3) Maintaining contact/liaison with safety and health professionals in other Federal agencies, in state and local governments, and in private industry; 4) Planning and developing safety initiatives to address program compliance, continuous improvements, and execution of strategies; 5) Assisting in the development of and conducting safety and health training programs for senior leadership, managers, supervisors, employee representatives, and non-supervisory personnel; and 6) Providing leadership for a Safety and Occupational Department to ensure that safety standards are followed.
