The Senior Director, The Americas Regional Officer will have full responsibility for the security of employees, resources and information, against security risks in the region. This role will act as a Corporate Security business partner to all BU leaders and employees in the region.
How you’ll spend your day
- Responsible for risk assessment of the security of employees, assets and information against security risks
- Support region and country management in Security related decisions and matters.
- Lead the implementation of Global Corporate Security policies, guidelines and directives in the region.
- Supervise and guide country (and country cluster) security officers and others in establishing security related procedures, systems and guidelines, in accordance with applicable law and corporate policies and guidance – including People Security; Facility Security; Executive Protection; Information Security (including liaison with IT Security); Logistic Chain & Product Security,
- Event Security and crime related Pre-employment Screening & Vetting processes.
- Act as a team member of Global Corporate Security representing the region.
- Lead a group of security managers in the region – either directly or indirectly.
- Lead and supervise the response and reaction to security related issues.
- Supervise and sometime lead for investigations of security related incidents in the region.
- Audit security policies, guidelines and procedures compliance in the region.
- Maintain proper liaison with relevant law enforcement agencies, mostly at the regional level.
Your experience and qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Security certifications such as CPP, CISM, CFE, CISSP are valued.
- A master’s in security studies, Public Administration, or Business Administration degree
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry, cross border operations, collaboration with regulatory and / or security agencies.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or intelligence is required.
- Experience in an international\multinational organization is required.
- Strong and effective communication skills. Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Able to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously. Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to ensure timely and accurate resolutions
Travel Requirements:
Must be available 24/7 and can travel, domestically and internationally, sometimes at a moment’s notice.
Compensation Data
The annual starting salary for this position is between $173,000 – $227,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
