We are currently seeking a PRN Housekeeper to join our Hospice House team. The incumbent will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our Hospice House, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients, their families, and our staff.


General Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting all areas of the Hospice House.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Replenish paper towels, toilet tissue, and other supplies as needed.
  • Empty trash cans and maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other surfaces as necessary.
  • Keep cleaning supplies stocked and organized.
  • Assist with full room cleanings after patient discharge or death.
  • Maintain cleanliness of hardwood floors through regular dust mopping and periodic special care.
  • Replace linens and clean bathrooms on designated floors.
  • Maintain a respectful and caring attitude when interacting with staff, residents, and guests.
  • Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information related to patients and Hospice operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to sanitation and safety.
  • Familiarity with the local community and Hospice of the Piedmont is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Basic computer skills required.
