Now, we are currently seeking a Medical Strategy Director to our growing Medical Strategy and Clinical Information Services Department. The Medical Strategy Director will work in collaboration with internal ATG teams and Client commercial and medical teams across a variety of high-quality scientific and medical communication deliverables. ATG is a full-service marketing and advertising agency supporting products across healthcare markets in the pharmaceutical drug, medical device, nutrition, procedures, diagnostics, and health technology spaces.

What You'll Do
- This role sits at the intersection of science and strategy, where you will integrate medical research, insights, and analysis into brand strategy, creative development, omnichannel marketing, and real-world data applications.
- Scientific subject-matter expert with a deep understanding of our clients' products (mechanisms, clinical data, competitive differentiators), the conditions they treat (disease mechanisms, epidemiology, standards of care), relevant prescriber details (practice behaviors, prescribing decision-making process and trends), and patient needs (disease impact, journey, QOL).
- Together with medical staff, client services, strategic services and creative staff, you will work to derive actionable insights from the clinical knowledge.
- Contribute to creation of promotional or educational communication deliverables such as peer-to-peer slide decks, scripts, scientific abstracts/posters, manuscripts and monographs, training materials for sales representatives, surveys, advisory boards, market research, patient case profiles, claims support, search terminology, mechanism of action and disease videos, clinical trial results utilization, HCP learning hubs, and lexicon development.
- Key member on cross-functional teams providing medical expertise for competitive intelligence, market conditioning, scenario planning, brand planning, and tactical ideation.
- Partner with medical affairs consulting on reviews, submissions, label language, publication planning, reprint strategy, research, and education needs.
- Contribute to the preparation and participation in capability and new business presentations and pitches as needed.
- Assist in management and interaction with the ATG HCP Advisory panel of multiple MD specialties.
- Provide medical and scientific direction for specific projects, including identification of relevant data sets and recommendations on both copy and visual representations of data
- Enhance the scientific fluency of agency staff on assigned accounts through ongoing knowledge learning, sharing, and training.
- Bring a passion for translating science, medicine, and emerging technologies into commercial strategies and impactful communications that drive behavior change in health.
- Develop and maintain deep expertise in therapeutic areas and product data, translating complex scientific information into commercially actionable marketing and communication strategies.
- Build trusted relationships with clients based on scientific expertise and understanding of client objectives and business goals.
- Ensure that medical content aligns with Medical Affairs and Commercial strategy and communication goals.
- Collaborative interactions as a trusted medical content expert across internal clinical research, marketing, strategy, creative, editorial, media, analytics, marketing intelligence, planning, engagement, project management and account teams.
- Review content for medical and scientific accuracy, ensuring the dissemination of medical information complies with regulatory guidelines
- Monitor industry trends and innovations and implement best practices to heighten efficiency, quality, and value of medical information
What Makes You A Great Fit
