The Employee Success Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team provides support for Salesforce acquisitions starting with early, “pre-diligence” insights, through formal due diligence, integration planning, and execution. Our team has supported the integration of more than 80 acquisitions since inception, giving us a direct opportunity to support the innovation engine of the company! We work closely as a team and with cross functional partners across Employee Success, Corporate Development, and almost every Salesforce business function.
The ES M&A Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting the ES M&A Deal Lead through an end to end acquisition integration journey and may drive or support one primary integration workstream or multiple integration sub-workstreams depending on deal volume and complexity. The role works with a team of ES functional specialists and diverse partners to complete integration milestones and activities, with the focus on delivering an engaging and inspiring employee experience that helps achieve acquisition objectives. HR experience in at least one field (such as ES Operations, ES Analytics or as an ES Generalist) and a solid level of data fluency is required for success in this role.
Core Responsibilities:
- Drive or support specific ES M&A workstream(s), such as, employee data management, employment packages & background investigations, employee experience programs & integration program management;
- Provide operational and analytical support to the ES M&A deal and/or integration leads on critical ES integration activities and deal milestones. At times, may also support ES M&A due diligence activities (such as data room tracking and management, initial data analysis...);
- Provide enablement and delivery support for high impact initiatives; examples include: ES briefing sessions, internal integration team meetings, acquired employee information sessions and training & enablement curriculum for extended team members;
- Contribute to and own process improvement projects to help scale & support ES M&A operational business processes. Partner with ES & cross-functional teams in updating and evolving our ES M&A playbook;
- Coordinate and assist in testing configuration, and implementation of new and enhanced systems, processes and interfaces;
- Create, maintain and support a variety of standard and custom reports, queries and metrics to provide business insight into acquired employee data in support of key ES M&A programs and activities;
- Assess and interpret trends and metrics around acquired employee culture, satisfaction and engagement etc. Partner with ES M&A deal/integration lead to establish recommendations for improvement or enhancements based on analysis;
- Partner with virtual and extended ES COE teams to ensure designated ES M&A workstream plans are delivered consistently across the globe, in compliance with local processes and policies;
- Engage effectively with cross-functional teams (such as Corporate Development, Finance, IT, and others) to deliver against designated ES M&A workstream(s) as well as raising and solving M&A related issues and risks;
- Assist in the training and on-boarding of new core and extended team members;
- Depending on deal volume and complexity, may focus on one or more concurrent deals, or multiple integration tracks within a larger deal.
Technical Skills/Experience
- Brings experience and depth in one or more ES areas, such as: Data Management, Employee Programs, ES Operations, Project Management, Employment Agreements, etc. with desire to gain skills and experience beyond your current area of expertise (prior M&A experience is not required);
- Possesses a solid level of data fluency. Intermediate Excel experience and working with large data sets using sophisticated formulas and functionality is required for success in this role;
