Overview
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Benefits, the Senior Benefits Analyst will assist in the development, implementation, administration and coordination of employee benefits in accordance with guidelines and policies while providing a high level of customer service to internal customers. Working independently, the Senior Benefits Analyst gathers, evaluates, and analyzes a wide variety of data and information, providing functional, technical and strategic support for FNFs Benefits programs. This position will collaborate with the benefits team and the broader HR team to support the management of day-to-day operations for the benefits function.
LOCATION
- This position sits at our HQ in Jacksonville, FL with flexibility to work from home 4 days per week and 1 day onsite.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist employees, managers and HR colleagues in resolving various benefits coverage and claim issues to ensure a quick, equitable, and courteous resolution.
- Create and analyze benefits reporting in Workday and benefit vendor systems to ensure accurate enrollment, billing, and timely, efficient processes. Maximize Workday reports, dashboards, and functionality to improve benefits insight and accuracy. Collaborate with HRIS team for system testing, data integrity, interface mapping, and related benefit system capabilities.
- Assist with the preparation of government filings such as Form 5500, Form 1095/1094, non-discrimination testing, miscellaneous state/city reporting requirements, CMS Rx reporting, annual plan audits and other required filings.
- Perform routine to complex data audits, validation, and reconciliation to identify and rectify data discrepancies and maintain the confidentiality and security of data. Review and improve current reporting and auditing processes for benefit programs.
- Analyze census data, monitor and manage benefit vendor data files, and respond to time-sensitive ad-hoc requests as needed. Assist Accounting with month end reconciliations of provider premium billing statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Project manage benefit program implementations and annual processes, such as benefit changes, annual vendor renewals and open enrollment, compliance updates, and non-discrimination testing. Document and maintain administrative procedures for benefit processes.
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state, or local legislation, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and FMLA. Assist in maintenance, updating and distribution of SPDs and other plan documents and notices as required due to plan design or regulation changes.
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to successfully advise and resolve issues and deliver on assigned projects.
- Support new hire and open enrollment processes (plan changes, Workday updates, election processing, reporting, and communication), including execution of related year end processes as needed.
- Remain current on U.S. health care legislation and any proposed changes, providing recommendations on potential changes necessary for compliance.
- Work on projects that may be assigned ad hoc and assist other corporate initiatives as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Requires 6 – 8+ years of work experience in health and welfare benefits administration with in-depth working knowledge of benefit management systems and related reporting, recordkeeping and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to Benefits, i.e. Affordable Care Act, 403(b), COBRA, Section 125 Cafeteria plans, HIPAA, W/C, FMLA, ADA, Medicare, Social Security, etc.
- Intermediate Excel skills with the ability to do VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables and Formulas
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels with all levels throughout the organization.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Workday benefits experience strongly preferred.
- High level of integrity and professionalism with ability handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion & good judgement.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and assignments.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with vendors, managers, colleagues, and employees at all levels.
