Accounting and Finance Analyst

Desotec is currently looking for an Accounting and Finance Analyst to join our growing team in our Darlington, PA U.S. Headquarters. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting and analytical skills. This position provides hands-on support for the organization’s accounting operations and financial reporting. This is an accounting role with finance responsibilities while partnering with operations, sales, and HR teams to understand business needs and financial impact.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

·         Support month-end and year-end closing processes

·         Takes ownership of sales tax reporting and filings

·         Assist with reviewing financial data to ensure accurate account classifications

·         Perform variance analysis and explain key business drivers (actual vs. budget, forecast, prior year)

·         Support internal financial controls and process improvement initiatives

Reporting

·         Prepare monthly data analytic reports to support decision making

·         Assist with enhancing KPI dashboards to support operational efficiency and stakeholder decision making

·         Assist in financial statement preparation and audit support

Budgeting & Forecasting

·         Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts

·         Collaborate with business units to collect input and validate assumptions

·         Help identify risks and opportunities in financial projections

·         Monitor budget adherence and cost center performance

·         Maintain budgeting tools and templates

Qualifications & Skills

·         5 to 7 years operational accounting experience

·         Attention to detail

·         Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles

·         Strong communication skills

·         Microsoft Office, Power BI, ERP Systems

·         Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

·         Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
