We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Engineering Manager to lead the emissions management squat of our Plan A Software.

How You’ll Make An Impact

As Engineering Manager for the Emissions Management squad, your main responsibility will be to provide technical leadership and oversight over the development of our carbon emissions accounting product. We are looking for someone to:

• Establish a reporting line for the Emissions Management team, providing guidance and mentorship
• Support the team in technical planning, coordinating, and delivering projects and features
• Provide a technical point of contact for stakeholders
• Take on hiring responsibilities and grow the team

Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager who not only possesses strong people management and development skills but who is also technically skilled. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented engineers towards achieving the organisation's goals. The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong people management and leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members
• Experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering technical projects
• Experience in driving technical and operational excellence within teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, leading and growing technical teams

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong technical background, with hands-on experience in software development
• Highly capable with frontend or backend frameworks/technologies
  • Frontend frameworks/technologies such as React, Typescript, Angular or Vue
  • Backend frameworks/technologies such as Laravel, PHP, Node.js or Python
