Senior Frontend Developer

Your role 
Fastned aims to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility by giving freedom to electric drivers. As Frontend Developer you are responsible for developing experiences that are simple, drive engagement, and deliver WOW to our users on every journey touchpoint. By delivering best-in-class frontend solutions for Fastned digital products, you get the unique opportunity to improve the EV driving experience and contribute to the transition to sustainable mobility.

In this role, you will contribute to a range of Fastned products, primarily working on our proprietary back office platform Revolt and some more customer-facing applications such as the Fastned charger screens. You will take the role of a key sparring partner for the front-end development team. As a true problem-solver, you will be accountable for the delivery of a well-functioning product, while teaming up with Product Design to raise the bar on usability. This role is part of the Software team and works as a member of the scrum team with fellow Frontend Developers, Backend Engineers, a Scrum Master, Product Manager, and Product Designer.

Your overall responsibilities include

• Contribute with your team to product development from ideation to deployment

• Development, testing, and doing code reviews for Fastned frontend applications

• Refine with your team feature requirements to deliver a product that materially impacts the business and improves the customer experience

• Raise the bar on product usability, contributing to design system creation while developing experiences that deliver WOW on every journey touchpoint

• Participate in scrum ceremonies and contribute to tech decision-making

• Coach and assist the team in improving development methodologies and applying best practice patterns

Requirements

• You have 5+ years of professional experience with React and Typescript

• You have experience with Next.js or Node.js

• Familiar with React Query / Redux and React Hook Form

• Familiar with CI/CD and delivery pipelines

• Unit Test knowledge (React Testing Library, Jest, Jasmine, Karma etc…)

• Proficient experience with Vanilla JS, HTML, CSS and CSS pre processors

• Experienced with building responsive web applications using RESTful web services and processing JSON data

• You have a strong affinity with the energy transition and Fastned’s mission
