The Manufacturing Operations in Wilton Connecticut is responsible for the production of lithography tools as well as purchasing and logistics. The complete production process of the most advanced machines takes place within Manufacturing.
This position is based in EUV Manufacturing Group within the manufacturing sector in Wilton, Connecticut.
As a Production Engineering Top Main Module (TMM) Engineer, you are responsible for the industrialization of the EXE Top Main Module from the view of Wilton Production Engineering and Operations. The TMM is the amalgamation of several assemblies manufactured in Wilton, coming together as one main assembly, so strong technical leadership is required to ensure all the modules are working in concert with each other. Together with the Manufacturing Manager(s) and partnered with the Program Management team, you identify gaps in the MFG process, optimize critical path steps, drive design improvements, and represent Production Engineering in cross-sector technical and program reviews as it relates to EXE Top Main Module (TMM).
This role is positioned as an independent team member of a manufacturing project team that is responsible for the development of our state-of-the-art lithography machines. Person is expected to deliver technical project support as required and drive/report on critical EXE TMM issues, typically from initiation through delivery.
Job Description
A Senior Principal Production Engineer on EXE:
Support of MFG Floor Activities:
- Drive and report on critical technical TMM issues (independent from individual/specific modules in production which is under the purview of the System Owners)
- Push Cross-sector/Design Engineering for closure of items at TMM level (Lead PE voice in cross-sector meetings)
- Escalate sub-module issues that will impact planned delivery dates to Top Module level
- Responsible for securing immediate containment of issues for future builds
- Ensuring that structural solutions of escalations in WIP are carried to forward builds
Industrialization Targets:
- Attends all cross-sector meetings for design reviews, issue resolutions
- Responsible for roadmap alignment with cross-sector/cross-factory teams
- Contributes to identification of novel methods for qualification and test of TMM, and helps to optimize factory workflow.
- Ensures that learnings from Field/EUV Factory are embedded into Wilton Factory practices
- Assists in understanding and definition of Cycle Time (CT) requirements, and aligns factory-required CT (related to Moverate) and system-level cycle time (related to Service actions, MTTR, etc)
- Mentor newer Production Engineering Project Leads for planning, cross-sector alignment, escalation paths, etc

- Contributes to system level KPIs linked to Availability, Reliability, Cycle time and/or Costs.
- Pro-actively assists, enables and challenges all stakeholders
- Builds and maintains enduring relationships with ASML senior (program and project) executives and act as a 'Trusted Advisor' on matters relating to Program and project management
- Manages a complex organizational environment
- Initiates, participates or leads & implements the roll-out and embedding of project (program) standards and processes related to a.o. project planning, product generation process, effective decision making, reporting, change control, risk manage
