Case Manager II - Educational Advisor

 

Pay: $50,000/year

 

The Educational Advisor counsels individuals and provides group educational and vocational guidance services. The Educational Advisor will implement educational programs and activities at their designated sites. This is a federally grant-funded position under the GEAR UP initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize and analyze information about individuals through records, tests, interviews, and professional sources.
  • Assess client interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personality characteristics, for vocational and educational planning.
  • Collaborate with schools, government agencies and CBO in assisting student with accessing higher education.
  • Compile and study occupational, educational, and economic information to aid clients in making and carrying out vocational and educational objectives.
  • Refer students to placement service.
  • Engage in research and follow-up activities to evaluate counseling techniques.
  • Assist clients in researching all educational funding options.
  • Assist clients in loan default.
  • Assist clients in determining their vocational and educational interests.
  • Conduct training sessions.
  • Assist clients in obtaining educational funding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Valid Driver’s license, ability to drive and means of transportation

  • Travel to other cities and towns may be required
