We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer within our Advance Thermal Sciences (ATS) temperature control systems (TCS) at our Anaheim California facility.

ATS manufactures standard and custom engineered products to provide customers with the right solution and is a leading supplier of temperature control systems (TCS). Markets served include semiconductor/microelectronics, solar, laser, and more.

This role will be performed Onsite at our Collins Aerospace location in Anaheim, CA.

What YOU Will Do:

  • Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints
  • Participates in defining manufacturing/engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work
  • Performs professional Manufacturing Engineering assignments of a high degree of complexity under minimum direction and supervision with some discretion as to work details
  • Provides support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of manufacturing operations
  • Provides input to plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards development, and the like
  • Compiles and evaluates test and production data, prepares technical analysis, recommends manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes.
  • Provides production floor and assembly support in technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, engineering change notices, rework, manufacturing difficulties and specifications.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Performs MRP functions including entering part numbers, methods, ECO execution, etc.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Experience in designing manufacturing aides and tooling
  • Able to read blueprints
  • Working knowledge for mechanical and electrical assemblies
  • Experience in technical writing (work instructions, processes, etc.)
     

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Working knowledge of Electronics and PLC’s (programmable logic controller)
  • Lean manufacturing and Kaizen experience
  • Experience working within Semiconductor or other High Tech field
  • Knowledge with supply chain process as ME support
  • Experience with working with suppliers to prove or improve processes
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals
  • Ability to directly interface with both internal department employees and external customers
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with common PC software such as Microsoft Office
  • Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with both Engineering and Production
  • Solid Works/EPDM Experience
  • Machinery Design Experience
  • Epicor Experience
  • Knowledge of Refrigeration Systems
  • Knowledge of pumping/hydraulic systems
  • Experience working in an ISO environment
