What You’ll Do

• Underwrite consumer loan requests not automatically approved by our loan origination system, including direct loans, credit cards, and lines of credit.
• Underwrite all home equity loan requests, ensuring compliance with Regulation Z and ability-to-repay standards.
• Make timely, well-documented lending decisions while managing risk through appropriate conditions.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to lending staff, sharing expertise and best practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and propose enhancements to underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Provide Saturday rotational support.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience underwriting consumer loans.
• Additional experience in credit analysis or mortgage lending preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) number.
• Strong communication skills and in-depth knowledge of lending fundamentals.
• Proven ability to make sound lending decisions and craft solutions for unique financial needs.
• Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
