Basic Job Functions:

The Ladle Wall Operator is responsible for safe and efficient performance at the ladle wall at all times.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Management of all ladle refractory
• Coordination with LMF team, Ladle Cranes, EAF team, and Caster team on in-service ladles
• Coordination with Bricking team on ladles
• Ensuring ladles are in good, safe working order for use in shop
• Review and mastery all refractory procedures
• Maintenance responsibilities of the refractory area

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous Ladle Refractory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven track record as a team player
• Mobile equipment experience
