Our Credit and SDMC Engineering team has built a highly scalable Credit Experience for Sams. You will work on NextGen upstream integration, credit services migration to a new platform, and develop highly scalable Finance Sub Graphs. You’ll independently handle high impact, critical software/systems monitoring issues, troubleshoot business and production issues. As a member of this fast-moving and highly entrepreneurial team, you’ll be able to say that you work for the world’s largest retailer and contribute to innovation and development to best-in-class methodologies that impacted perception and drastically changed business as we know it.

Sam's Club provides a carefully curated assortment of items, as well as developing and leading technologies and services such as Scan & Go, Club Pickup, and home delivery service in select markets. Sam's Club also provides travel, auto purchasing, pharmacy, optical, hearing aid centers, tire and battery centers, and a portfolio of business operations support services.

What you'll do:

• ​​​​​Design & develop highly scalable services and solve complex software systems problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology and enhancing Walmart Credit and SDMC and Partner experience solutions 
• Lead by example. Show your chops as an exceptional and experienced developer. 

• Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information and engaging support teams to resolve issues 

• Perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues and ensure compliance with Walmart code of conduct 

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to ensure compliance with Walmart code of conduct 

• Work in an Agile environment, adhering to best practices and collaborating with teams to deliver results 

• Stay up to date with the latest GenAI trends and technologies and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that improve the member experience

• Participate in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project, product and business requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirement); designing robust and scalable architectures; writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; enhancing design to prevent re-occurrences of defects; ensuring on-time delivery 

What you'll bring:

• Experience with Java and building Java-based backend systems. 
• Building and implementing microservices and applications using Spring Boot and reactive frameworks like Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor (Mono and Flux) 
• Experience in internet-scale distributed technologies (e.g. Solr, Kafka, Mem Cache, etc.)  
• Deep understanding of Spark engine 
• Strong understanding of J2EE components, multithreading, and networking. 
• Extensive knowledge of offline storage, caching, and performance tuning. 
• Experience with cloud-based solutions and hands-on experience with CICD development environments/tools, including Git, Maven, and Jenkins. 
• Strong understanding of CS Fundamentals, Microservices, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Problem Solving. 
• Familiarity with GenAI best practices, such as:  
• Using AI-powered code analysis tools to improve code quality and maintainability. 
• Implementing AI-driven testing frameworks to ensure robust testing and validation. 
• Leveraging AI-based performance monitoring and optimization tools to improve system efficiency. 
• Designing AI-enabled data pipelines to streamline data processing and analysis. 
• Experienc
