The Senior Innovation Product Manager, Reproduction Health position is part of the Clinical Chemistry & Immunoassay Business Unit located at our Immunoassay Center of Excellence in Chaska, Minnesota and is intended to be onsite.  However, qualified candidates not located near Chaska will be considered and the role may be filled as a remote role. You will be part of the Immunoassay Product Management team and report to the Senior Director of Product Management responsible for upstream marketing and work closely with Global & Regional Marketing, Program Management, R&D, Applications, Service, Sales and other technical teams to assess, communicate, and delivery your product strategy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver sustainable, long-term outsize market share growth & ever-expanding operating profit through the delivery of differentiated Immunoassay products from product concept to launch
  • Partner with Portfolio Strategy, BD, and corporate strategy teams to define product & portfolio strategies and develop roadmaps based on market analysis, customer needs, and business objectives 
  • Establish leadership in cross-functional NPD core teams and ensure adherence to market and product requirements from pre-concept tollgate and through product development cycle.
  • Gather and represent the voice of customer and voice of business on NPD core teams and lead market discussions at monthly Product Planning Group (PPG) meetings to assess and manage risk and tradeoffs.
  • Anticipate and identify market trends and needs for products and ensure that product designs are matched to customer demand and will deliver profitable market share and liaison to the commercial team for positive customer interfaces.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business or related field, with 14+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience OR Doctoral degree with 9+ years relevant experience.
  • Track record in developing new product development strategies and roadmaps.
  • Performing market and customer insight research to deeply understand customer needs, challenges and translate these together with a cross-functional team into diagnostic solutions.
  • Leading projects with risks and complexity, collaborating with cross-functional teams of R&D, global/regional marketing, regulatory, clinical, quality and operations.
  • Develop and negotiating, with legal representation, business and/or research agreements.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • MBA degree
  • Related experience with immunassay products
  • Medical device industry or IVD regulated environment
