Staff Accountant

Description

BBG, Inc. is seeking is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller and will work in the following areas: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Acquisitions. The ideal candidate is resourceful, proactive, highly organized, and eager to learn. This is an in-office position local to Dallas, Texas (Park Cities area).

Responsibilities:

•  Responsible for the AP cycle including but not limited to the following: 
• Collecting and processing vendor invoices for payment,
• Researching and resolving vendor invoice discrepancies/payments,
• Reconciling vendor accounts,
• Issuing vendor payments,
• Communicating with vendors and responding to inquiries,
• Prepare and record journal entries,
• Participate in month-end close activities.
• Responsible for the AR cycle including but not limited to the following: 
• Manage accounts receivables including processing payments, entering credit memos and collections, 
• Prepare daily cash reconciliations,
• Research and resolve customer inquiries,
• Prepare and distribute customer statements,
• Prepare and record journal entries,
• Participate in month-end close activities.
• Other duties, commensurate with experience, that support the accounting team in order to help improve overall efficiency of the department

Requirements

• College degree in accounting preferred 
• Respects deadlines 
• Takes ownership and pride in his or her work and enjoys learning new things
• Proficient in Excel
• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate the ability to contribute to the organizations vision and mission, act as a company steward of resources, interact effectively as a team member, and work in a self-directed and dependable manner
