This individual will serve as a strategic advisor to sales leadership while working directly with branch-level salespeople and managers to embed best practices that improve pipeline health, win rates, and sales efficiency.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of big-company structure and process experience, with the pragmatism and grit required to execute in a fast-moving, decentralized industrial/construction environment. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and drive the company-wide sales process, from lead generation through to close
• Partner with sales leadership to establish and track KPIs that measure pipeline quality, sales productivity, and forecast accuracy
• Analyze sales performance data and translate insights into actionable coaching, training, and operational improvements
• Work closely with branch managers and salespeople to understand local challenges and support performance improvement efforts
• Establish a cadence of pipeline reviews and forecast calls with sales leadership
• Develop and manage sales reporting and dashboards in Dynamics 365, ensuring data integrity and usability
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Commercial Systems teams to ensure end-to-end lead-to-cash alignment
• Work with the training department to develop and maintain sales process training materials and playbooks
• Provide guidance and governance on territory design, quota setting, and incentive structures
• Support CRM adoption and continuous improvement in partnership with Commercial Systems team
Qualifications:
• 12+ years of progressive experience in Sales Operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and lead from the front in a high-change environment
• Proven ability to implement structured sales processes and drive adoption in a distributed sales organization
• Strong analytical skills; able to use data to diagnose issues and recommend improvements
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a strong plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively with both senior executives and front-line sales teams
• Selling experience a strong plus, will help to build credibility with the sales team
• Experience in the industrial, construction, or manufacturing industries preferred
