SUMMARY

The Packaging Engineer (Ft. Worth, TX) position is a part of the Service Parts Program Management Team located in Fort Worth, TX.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop Improved Service Parts Packaging Designs to replace existing insufficient Packages that are resulting in damages to the Product.
• Reduction of Box Variants - Commonization amongst specific Packaging SKU’s for various Service Parts Product Groups
• Coordinate with BU3 Plant Packaging Engineers to transport parts from Plants to MBS Warehouses
• Maintain accurate packaging data in SAP Material Master.
• Work with Customer Packaging Teams for concept reviews and approvals
• Be the Subject Matter Expert Working with Packaging Suppliers
• Create / Input / Maintain Unit Load Data Sheets (ULDs) also known as Packaging Data Sheets (PDS) in each Customer’s Packaging Portal.
• Cross Functional collaboration with MAHLE BU3 Plants and MAHLE Behr Service Logistics, Purchasing, Production, Process Planning and Quality for Packaging Topics.  
• Very hands on environment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in in Packaging / Packaging Engineering / Packaging Operations / Product Management
• 6 months to 3 years of experience in Packaging Development for Commercial / Industrial Products
• 2+ years of Business Process exposure.
• Prefer experience with SAP (not required) and all Microsoft Office applications.
• Any Thermal Management Product Packaging experience would be a plus.
• Knowledge of customer portals and strong initiative / cost awareness desired..
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects in cross-functional teams.
• Advanced communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Spanish as a Secondary Language
• Ability to collaborate Cross-functionally, led by example,
