We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our expanding AI Lab in a flexible, hourly capacity. This Flex Staff position offers a unique opportunity to work with unparalleled data and computational resources. The role will be under the joint supervision of Dr. Ankit Sakhuja and Dr. Girish Nadkarni, who are committed to fostering the professional growth of our team members and promoting the dissemination of our groundbreaking findings at leading conferences.

Job Description: The Flex Staff Hourly employee is a variable one, ranging from entry level clerical support to professional (non-licensed), engaged by a department on an as-needed basis, compensated on an hourly basis. Flex Staff employees also include those who retired or terminated from a full-time position, brought back to perform their role on a part-time, temporary basis, often to support or orient the replacement employee. We are seeking individual to join our AI Lab for studies related to critically ill patients. In this role as Flex Staff, you will collaborate closely with the research team, contributing to data collection, extraction, analyses and operating under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. 

1. Collaborate with the research team on studies focused on critically ill patients.
2. Collect and extract data pertinent to our AI research initiatives.
3. Conduct data analysis using both traditional statistical methods and cutting-edge AI techniques.
4. Work under the guidance of the Principal Investigator to contribute to research objectives.
5. Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the lab’s operations.

1. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Analytics, or a related field.
2. Experience: Demonstrated experience in machine learning techniques is preferred, with a strong portfolio of published work or accessible code.
3. Skills: Proficiency in programming and statistical software, particularly R and/or Python.
4. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $16.00 - $50.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
