Quality Engineering Technician

Overview

Support the implementation and maintenance of Resonetics Smart Materials’ Quality Systems including product certification, product inspection and testing, controlled experimentation, process qualification and auditing. This requires an understanding of all documents pertaining to Resonetics Quality System and statistical analysis.  This position requires a detail-oriented person capable of maintaining records, files and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Assist ISO 9001 certification by promoting and supporting Quality Programs.
• Document the quality system including the document control system and assist with the change management process.
• Facilitate the completion of customer complaints, internal and external audits and continuous improvement efforts.
• Prepare and authorize certificates of conformance for outgoing material.
• Collaborate with sales and manufacturing to ensure that product meets all customer requirements.
• Supply information to the Quality Manager regarding the status of the Quality Management Systems.
• Process customer specifications and revisions to specifications.
• Assist with dispositioning internal rejections/non-conformances and implementing process corrections.
• Thorough understanding of material sample preparation, sample inspection and sample testing.
• Proficient in entering in test data and retrieving test data for certification and investigational purposes.
• Assist with process qualifications including drafting documents, overseeing controlled production runs and coordinating special testing of qualification material.

Required Qualifications

• Technical degree, equivalent title or experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality system.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques.
• Proficiency with computers and software (Outlook, Word, Excel) with a knowledge of ERP.
• Proficiency with proper Lab practices and lab equipment maintenance.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated range is $27 - $30/hr.
