THE PROGRAM
We're looking for students to join our Internship Program who believe that sound is power. Over the 3-month Internship, you will get the opportunity to apply the skills you learned in the classroom with hands-on work experience. Our Interns will get to network across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll connect with other Interns and colleagues to grow your network for the future!
Timeframe - Summer Internship Starting June 2nd, 2025.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Research Engineering Summer Intern to join the Noise Control Research Group and help us improve how our products perform in windy environments. In this role you will:
- Work closely with research engineers to improve and standardize test methods for evaluating product performance in wind.
- Perform hands-on acoustical measurements.
- Post-process measured data using MATLAB and Python
- Communicate experimental results
REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Be actively pursuing a BS or MS in Engineering
- Have completed coursework in Calculus and Physics
- Be proficient with MATLAB.
- Be skilled at communicating experimental results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework and experience in one or more of the following subject areas: Acoustics, Mechanical Vibrations, Programming with Python, Fluid Dynamics
- Experience performing measurements using acoustics and vibration sensors (e.g. microphones, accelerometers)
