Requisition Summary

 

Direct team members in the Remanufacturing process to attain the maximum product quality and customer satisfaction. Supports training, motivation and safety of team representatives.

 

 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

 

 

  • Develop the Quality process for the Remanufacturing processes Engine Disassembly, Salvaging, Assembly and associated Product and Process audits
  • Distributes work assignments to team representatives in accordance with the Quality objectives.
  • Coordinate with team to develop sampling and inspection practices/ techniques for product manufacturing, procurement and receiving to achieve desired quality standards.
  • Coordinates quality assurance activities with production and other functions to support delivery schedules.
  • Conducts and manages Product/Process Audits.
  • Develops or improves inspection methods to reduce measurement variation or to increase inspection efficiency.
  • Instructs and assists team members as to the interpretation of blueprints, job procedures, specifications, absenteeism, workmanship, safety, housekeeping and 5S requirements. Participates in disposition of nonconforming product.
  • Participates in process improvement efforts such as: 5'5, effective corrective actions for repetitive quality issues, POI initiatives, line damage audits, scrap reduction teams, defects per unit (DPU) reduction, Kaizen events, and outsourcing opportunities.
  • Coordinates corrective action activity and validates effectiveness.
  • Leads continuous improvement process and suggestion program activities.
  • Assists with developing and conducting quality training programs, prepares and maintains necessary records and reports.
  • Completes and analyzes data and identifies trends and facilitates improvement actions. Interacts with team members to implement solutions.
  • Creates and maintains metrics for quality reporting.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills required

 

  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years manufacturing quality experience; preferably in a team environment.
