General Education Teacher - Health

Job DetailsJob Location: Shoreview - Shoreview, MN 55126Salary Range: $37,500.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/yearLionsgate Academy specializes in educating students living with Autism and other learning differences and offers more than a typical school.

HEALTH TEACHING POSITION:

Grades 7-12, block schedule, 6 classes with 8-15 students/class

Develop and deliver engaging health education lessons on topics such as nutrition, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and physical fitness.

Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and open discussion.

Assess student understanding through tests, projects, and class participation, and adjust teaching methods as needed.

Collaborate with parents, service providers, and other staff to support student health and well-being.

Stay updated on current health trends and guidelines to provide accurate and relevant information.

We offer:

$37,500 - $70,000 depending on education and experience

 QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of a valid Minnesota Teaching License in the appropriate licensure area through Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB): Health


Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete required job tasks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

If not currently or appropriately licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive an Out of Field Permission or Tier 1 or Tier 2 Teaching License


Classroom teaching and teaming experience with special education and regular education service teams.


Experience and/or expertise with students on the Autism spectrum
