Position Summary

Break Through Tech is seeking a Program Director to lead the successful nation-wide delivery of our Sprinternships program. In this role, you will serve as the operational leader for the Sprinternships program, working through your direct team as well as internal and external partners to ensure an excellent day-to-day program experience for all participants. You will also own the long-term strategic planning for program expansion and operational evolution. Responsibilities will include program leadership and operations, oversight of program management, team leadership and strategic partner management.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible 3-year term position with the possibility of renewal. This is a hybrid position with the expectation to work at least 1 day per week (Wednesday) on the Cornell Tech campus in New York City. Flexible work schedules are subject to change.

Essential Functions Include

Program Operations- 30%

• Drive the strategy, coordination, and day-to-day oversight of Break Through Tech Sprinternships program operations across all delivery sites nationwide
• Define and manage towards a set of program delivery standards, processes, playbooks and supports to ensure all delivery teams are set up for success
  • Build a culture across delivery teams of delivering with fidelity while innovating where appropriate to discover new best practices and solutions
  • Lift up and systematize innovations for delivery generated by sites and program teams when possible
  • Intervene to coach and correct issues with delivery across sites and program teams as needed
• Develop and leverage measures (health metrics, KPIs, etc) to track and assess operational quality and efficiency across program delivery teams
  • In partnership with Organizational Excellence, build and maintain data collection, analysis and reporting processes to ensure we can track and act on real-time delivery data on a day-to-day basis
• Define program delivery budgets; build and win approval for business cases and make mission critical decisions about where to invest
  • Track spend and per participant cost to ensure operational efficiency as we scale; identify opportunities for cost savings through automation, tooling and other operational innovations
