Senior Software Development Engineer (OCI)

We are the OCI Organizations-Management team. We own and operate a customer-facing service in the OCI console. Our service enables OCI customers to administer their hierarchies of tenancies, manage subscriptions across these tenancies, and securely configure these tenancies.
We're looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to help us build new features for our customers, operate our service and improve our engineering process.
As a member of the OCI Organizations-Management team, you will work our product team and other engineering teams to define new features for our customers. You'll design those features and then write code to build + operate them. You will help operate our service, troubleshoot problems and generally support our customers. You'll provide technical and project leadership to other software engineers on our team.
You'll bring 4+ years of software engineering or related experience. You've built + operated cloud services. You have strong development experience with Java and Terraform. You demonstrate strong ownership, solid communication skills and a bias for action. You're comfortable leading projects and leading other engineers.

Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of backend software development experience
- BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Java language or similar OO languages.
- Experience with at least one scripting language for automating tasks, proof of concept work, or command line tools.
- Strong working experience on GitHub/Bitbucket.
- Hands-on experience building and operating tools and dashboards with large data pipelines
- Experience driving security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers through the entire launch process
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
- Work with large volumes of data and logging
- Experience and understanding of multi-AD/AZ and regional data centers
- Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules
- Experience working with internal customers and translating requests into prioritized work or features

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
