Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense Systems (BDS) is seeking an energetic First Line Quality Manager to lead our Precision Engagement Systems Quality team in St Charles, MO. This team will focus on supporting the BDS Direct Attack Weapons Systems.

The ideal candidate will be an organized professional who possesses the ability to work well across diverse groups and effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries as well as a leader who can effectively implement solutions in an ever-evolving environment.  The team will function as a strategic business partner that enables Boeing’s business and accelerates Boeing’s quality and safety by providing counseling and guidance on quality tools and processes, metrics, inspection support and more. The position is a 100% on-site and might require occasional travel.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead team members in quality reviews of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development
• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
• Understand and teach current standards, policies and requirements
• Lead change, improvements & Quality initiatives across the business
• Provide strategic counseling and coaching on Quality initiatives to team members & leadership
• Lead analysis to identify and facilitate value-added metrics/KPIs, to drive business decisions
• Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
• Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
• Oversight of functions and activities that affect product quality with a Total Quality perspective
• Teach and rely on structured problem solving methods to resolve issues and drive improvement
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
• Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• 3+ years QMS and Quality Processes experience
• 5+ years of experience in a role that required strong interpersonal and communication skills
• 5+ years of experience with project management skills, tools and processes
• 5+ years’ experience continuous improvement practices and tools in the workplace
• 5+ years of experience leading cross functional teams in a formal and /or informal leadership roles
• Strong collaborator
• Excellent organization skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience executing improvements
• Experience in Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality

Relocation:

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
