Brief Overview:

The Senior Software Engineer will play a critical role in a fast-growing software company located in Boston's bustling financial district. We're looking for a full-time, Senior Software Engineer to work on our web-based online health care solution. Our software combines the best elements of the web, video, and telephony to bring patients and health care providers together in innovative new ways.

Core Responsibilities:

•    Design and implement new functionality for Amwell’s flagship Online Care product.
•    Engage in all aspects of release cycles including configurations, requirements review, work estimation, design, implementation, testing, and review.
•    Identify gaps in configurations , requirements or designs, and present options to address them.
•    Provide technical strategic leadership to your respective team.
•    Work with QA to understand and resolve defects.
•    Provide last-line support to the Hosting and Professional Services teams responsible for helping our customers reach their goals.

Qualifications:

•    5+ years of development and troubleshooting experience.
•    5+ years of experience with JavaScript.
•    2 years experience deploying and operating cloud-based applications in AWS or equivalent
•    Effective time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and shifting requirements.
•    Spring and Hibernate experience a plus.
•    B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.

The typical base salary range for this position is $121,200 - $166,650.  The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors.  In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance.
