Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

FLSA Status: Full Time/Non-exempt Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in wood packaging, carpentry, or related manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical skills; electrical and pneumatic knowledge.
- Experience operating and maintaining woodworking equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on woodworking machinery, saws, nail guns, conveyors, and other packaging equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Maintain cutting tools (saw blades, router bits, etc.).
- Ensure machines are set up properly for efficient and safe operation.
- Maintain facility infrastructure, including lighting, air compressors, and dust collection systems.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and keep maintenance records.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Assist in the design or modification of jigs, fixtures, and workstations for improved productivity.
- Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Realigns and adjusts components like spindles and clutches.
- Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of the drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
- Installs and repairs of electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Starts machines and equipment to test their operation after repair.
- Assists the Mechanical Engineer in modifying sketches or computer-generated designs of machine components (e.g., hydraulic systems and drive mechanisms).
- Operates cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Other duties may be assigned.
