About the role
What you will be doing
- Event Coordination: Manage the full event lifecycle, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
- Sales Support: Assist with sales strategies to meet revenue targets and support client needs.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying upsell opportunities.
- Vendor Management: Work with vendors and internal teams to ensure event success.
- Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to drive additional revenue through event services and group bookings.
- Social Media Engagement: Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging social media content that promotes upcoming events, enhances brand awareness, and attracts potential clients.
Salary range for this position starts at (based on experience): $21.00-25.00 hour. Full Time Associates at the Sheraton Minneapolis West are eligible for group health insurance including, Medical, Dental, Vision and life insurance. Additional benefits include Parental Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. The Sheraton Minneapolis West reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.
Qualifications- Minimum of 2-3yrs years administrative assistant experience. Preferably supporting more than one person.
- Has demonstrated an ability to build long standing professional relationships.
- Expert at managing email and conducting research online and presenting in an organized fashion.
- Must have advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as working knowledge with specific applications such as payroll, HR systems and SharePoint.
- Ability to quickly reprioritize, shift gears quickly to react to an ever changing environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity at times and can think on your feet. Proactive and resourceful in solving problems.
- Strong follow-up skills are essential.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
- Must have ability to follow-through on completion of tasks and responsibilities with a high degree of quality control; ability to manage up to supervisors
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be fun and professional and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelors or Associates degree preferred.
