Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Frontend Software Engineer III to join our Data and Assessments team. In this role you will be part of a team responsible for building a next generation K-12 formative assessment platform that integrates into the Renaissance ecosystem.
As a Frontend Software Engineer III, you will:
- Design, develop, and deploy enterprise software solutions by studying information needs and working with product managers, UX designers, and end users
- Work with greenfield projects
- Improve and modernize existing legacy software using current best practices
- Work both independently and in a team environment, and be able to produce quality code that is maintainable to meet goals and deadlines
- Participate and grow in a continuous learning environment
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- 5+ years of experience with Javascript, at least one frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue), CSS, HTML, SCSS, Typescript, and NPM/YARN
- Experience with Javascript testing frameworks
- Experience with Webpack
- Experience working with enterprise-level SaaS applications
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools, including Scrum and Jira
- Familiarity with Git as a version control tool
- Translating design comps into webpages
- Experience consuming web APIs and working with backend engineers to define API contracts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Bonus points for:
- Ed tech industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience working in a Lean/Agile/Scrum environment
- Knowledge of processes and technologies around version control, test automation frameworks, continuous integration/deployment, and production monitoring & support
- PHP, C#, or Golang experience
- Experience with test driven development
- Familiarity with Docker, AWS, and other cloud-oriented technology
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with PHP or other MVC frameworks
- Understanding of microservice architecture, SOLID principles, software design patterns, cloud design patterns, and patterns of enterprise architecture

Salary Range: $95,00 – $130,000. This range is based on national market data and may vary by location.
