Job Description

Visa’s Corporate IT group is on a groundbreaking transformational journey to redefine our approach to technology. We are moving beyond the 'traditional' IT playbook of simply purchasing off-the-shelf solutions. Instead, we are transforming into a true engineering organization where customer experience is paramount, and we create highly leveraged platforms with a focus on operational excellence to ensure our platforms and services are resilient and robust. While we may leverage packaged software solutions like ServiceNow and Flexera, we are committed to innovating around their limitations to enhance user experience and scalability.

We are seeking a dynamic, transformational leader to join our team as the Senior Director of Digital Media and Unified Communication. This role is integral to driving innovative leadership and motivation, essential for IT to meet strategic objectives that support Visa's business needs. You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation, delivering tools solutions that meet or exceed customer and stakeholder expectations. This involves shaping business requirements to optimally leverage technology teams in alignment with Visa's 2030 goals. This role demands strategic vision to develop clear tools rationalization and modernization plans, and drive employee productivity through the adoption of GenAI and Automation.

The Senior Director, Digital Media and Unified Communications, is a transformative leader responsible for end-to-end management of enterprise digital media technologies, including audio-visual (AV), unified communications (UC), voice, streaming, and conferencing physical infrastructure. You will drive strategy, technical excellence, and operational simplicity, ensuring seamless communications and media experiences across the global organization. This role leads a high-performing team of AV Engineers, UC Specialists, and Streaming Technicians, and partners closely with other Workplace Technology subareas. Experience applying AI and agentic technologies in digital media/UC is highly desired.

Essential Functions:

Strategy and Implementation:

  • Develop and execute technology strategies and roadmaps for digital media and UC that support business goals and elevate the user experience.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to define priorities, direction, and timelines.
  • Lead deployment of new and emerging technologies, including AI and agentic systems, to drive innovation, efficiency, and simplicity.
  •  Oversee large-scale transformation programs and ensure successful integration of new digital media and UC solutions.

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for AV, UC, voice, streaming, and conferencing infrastructure.
  • Set technical direction for architecture, design, and delivery of complex, enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Drive the adoption of industry best practices in security, performance, and user experience.
  • Ensure change management and information security are embedded in all initiatives.

Transformational Leadership

  • Inspire and guide the corporate tools team to achieve their full potential while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Mentor, manage, and motivate a high-performing team, setting clear priorities to achieve goals and OKRs.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching for improvement.
  • Embody the organization's culture, vision, mission, and goals as an exemplary leader.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders, commanding their attention.
  • Orchestrate effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Lead a growth organization by hiring, training, and maintaining high-performing teams, creating a diverse and inclusive work environment, and developing personal growth opportunities for all levels of the organization.

Innovation & Best Practices

  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operations and the customer experience by staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
