Director, Marketing Operations – US Petcare Marketing
The Marketing Operations leader will play a pivotal role in supporting the SVP of US Petcare Marketing and his/her leadership team in driving alignment, coordination, and execution excellence across US Petcare Marketing and with key stakeholders across functions (e.g., Petcare Sales, enabling functions). She/He is responsible for driving key marketing deliverables for Petcare (Quarterly Executive Reviews, Monthly business reviews, Strategy and Operating Plan Milestones, Key Petcare projects that span across the portfolio). This role will manage key marketing leadership and team meetings including agenda setting and facilitation. Additionally, they will oversee the creation and dissemination of meeting notes and action items, ensuring that meeting objectives are met and follow-ups are effectively managed.
In this role, the colleague will also lead project management for internal events and strategic initiatives, such as the National Sales Meeting, Townhalls, and the long-range planning processes. The role requires fostering effective communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders, managing the master Petcare Marketing calendar, and ensuring smooth information flow within the team and with other key stakeholders. As needed, this role will lead cross-functional teams in high-priority projects aligned with US Petcare Marketing, US Operations, and ZET objectives. Responsibilities
Reports to and is trusted advisor to the SVP of US Petcare Marketing and partners closely with the Petcare Marketing leadership team Lead a team of marketing professionals focused on managing conferences/events, marketing communications, and A&P budget tracking and reporting. Lead and manage assigned cross-functional projects from inception to completion, effectively collaborating with influence and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Define appropriate governance forums and ways of working for Petcare Marketing and its key stakeholders (e.g., Petcare Sales, enabling functions). Accountable for agenda, scheduling, collating presentation materials, distributing agendas and pre-reads, taking/distributing notes and key actions, ensuring meeting objectives are met, and managing the cadence for key leadership meetings. (e.g., Petcare Marketing LT, TA Touch point) Lead the project management for internal event planning (e.g., Petcare Marketing townhalls, leadership offsite), strategic initiatives (e.g. President’s review, marketing competency platform), and corporate processes for Petcare (e.g. strategic and financial long-range planning). Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives. Foster effective internal communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders within Petcare and across other business units In partnership with the SVP, define and build the desired team culture, including developing and implementing action plans related to the Colleague Engagement Survey and designing and leading change management efforts With the support of marketing leadership, lead and build marketing excellence curriculum to support the development of US Petcare marketing colleagues. Manage master Petcare Marketing calendar including meetings, events, and engagements. (e.g. performance check-ins, Op Plan, National Sales Meeting, summer POAs/manager’s meetings, Petcare Marketing LT meetings, TA/Portfolio Leads weekly meetings) Manage the tactical plan deployment schedule across Therapeutic Areas and the Portfolio teams. Collaborate with Petcare Sales to ensure coordinated, efficient and productive deployment of programs, tools, and promotions Manage information flow and ensure appropriate internal team communications. Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in strategy, operations, project management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and executing strategic initiatives
- Ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel internal and external meetings, conventions (~20%).
