JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Position Responsibilities:
1.    Assist in the planning and implementation of 4-H Camp Shehaqua logistics.
2.    Serve as a member of the 4-H staff team providing support to the 4-H camp program as requested. Such as contracts, housing requests, food ordering, etc.
3.    Be point person between 4-H and Hickory Run State Park. 

Basic Skills Required:

  • Possess an understanding of youth development and be able to effectively interact with youth. 
  • Possess knowledge of educational principles and presentation preparation skills.
  • Familiarity with the 4-H camp program is preferred.
  • Possess good communication skills needed for group presentations and individual communication with members, parents, leaders, teachers and agency staff.
  • Possess organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Possess computer skills for creating documents and marketing pieces.  

Position Location:  
4-H Camp Shehaqua, Hickory Run State Park, White Haven PA - Luzerne County

Qualifications:
The candidate must be able to carry equipment and educational materials and supplies, with or without accommodation. 

This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances:
•    PA State Police Criminal Background Check
•    PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
•    FBI Criminal Background Check

This is a part-time wage at $18.00 per hour for 80 hours (April -July).
