Senior Estimator

(MVE) is a leading manufacturers’ representative firm who sells and services water and wastewater treatment equipment, valves, and actuators to the waterworks industry in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle. Municipal Valve and Equipment is hiring a Senior Estimator for their Addison office. This is an on-site position.

What you will do:

• Prepare project cost estimates from drawings and specs
• Work on multiple company bids simultaneously
• Review estimates from engineers
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
• Respond to RFP’s and RFQ’s

Required Background/ Experience:

• At least 4 years of cost estimating experience
• Ability to read construction/technical drawings
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Hands-on experience using Excel 

Preferred Background/ Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management
• Water/ Wastewater treatment plant experience or Heavy Civil/Utilities experience
