About the Opportunity
The Services Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of Dayforce Consulting Services engagements, leveraging Dayforce to meet customer requirements while providing oversight and direction to team members. The Services Consultant is considered an expert in HCM consulting with a strong SaaS technology foundation and has participated in multiple projects of diverse size and complexity, demonstrating consistent project excellence. This individual works independently with customers, influences outcomes across a wide range of skill areas, and has established themselves as an active, visible leader who enjoys coaching others.
What You’ll Get to Do
• Lead engagements that help prospects and customers understand how Dayforce will impact HR service delivery, including processes, policies, user experience, organization design, governance, business case development, reporting, and analytics.
• Ensure smooth knowledge transfer to the Dayforce implementation team.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on strategic implementations and assist on projects of various sizes, industries, and levels of complexity.
• Lead internal and external project or design meetings and provide status updates on consulting activities and deliverables.
• Conduct peer reviews and other internal quality assurance activities.
• Lead or support Organizational Readiness engagements and provide guidance for Dayforce rollout planning.
• Establish credibility and rapport with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executives.
• Remain calm under pressure and lead difficult customer conversations when needed.
• Take necessary but sometimes unpopular stances to support customer and project success.
• Engage with multiple projects and customers simultaneously.
• Design and document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository.
• Document and share best practices within the Practice.
• Lead the SME program in at least one area of expertise such as HR service delivery, Dayforce, or talent management.
• Participate regularly in internal process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, review questions, and provide continuous feedback.
• Participate in Continuing Education sessions and lead best practice discussions.
• Complete new release training on time and stay fully versed on new or enhanced functionality.
• Mentor others on HCM best practices, new product features, and end-to-end implementations.
• Support the sales cycle through solution reviews, scoping, estimation, and consulting insights.
• Participate in prospect discussions regarding solution overviews and implementation considerations.
Skills and Experience We Value
• Bilingual (English/French).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree or postgraduate coursework is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of HCM consulting experience with a focus on payroll, ideally with an HCM software provider or consultancy.
• Canadian payroll expertise required; U.S. payroll experience is an asset.
• At least 2 years of HCM implementation or applications consulting experience.
• Experience in business process mapping, organizational readiness, and technology enablement.
• Experience in change management is an asset.
• Expert-level HR operations and business practice knowledge.
• Advanced HCM SaaS domain knowledge and implementation experience.
• Dayforce product knowledge with understanding of interdependencies and data flow across modules (desired).
• Ability to simplify complex technical or business requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong understanding of various industries and how Dayforce best practices apply to customer needs.
• Excellent customer relationship skills and business acumen.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead customer and internal workshops and sessions.
• Ability to mentor junior consultants through peer reviews and QA activities.
