Job Summary
Be part of the creative team behind one of the region’s most immersive seasonal events! We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Lead Production Technician to help supervise, coordinate, and execute the technical operations of this spectacular event. In this role, you will work closely with the management team and oversee a team of technicians to ensure consistent show quality and safe, efficient operation of all technical systems.
Key Responsibilities
▪ Monitor and service audio playback equipment deployed throughout the event.
▪ Supervise and support a team of Production Technicians and Show Technicians during pre-show prep, nightly operations, and post-show maintenance.
▪ Lead nightly pre-show checks and coordinate post-show troubleshooting and repairs.
▪ Assign nightly tasks to production crew based on priorities set by the management team.
▪ Provide hands-on support for technical systems, including audio playback, lighting, fog and effects machines, pneumatics, and prop control systems.
▪ Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues during live operation.
▪ Monitor and ensure all safety protocols and technical standards are being upheld by team members.
▪ Maintain accurate documentation of system status, equipment inventory, and nightly technical reports.
▪ Assist with onboarding and training new Production Technicians and Show Technicians.
Qualifications
Requirements
▪ Must be 18 and over to apply for this position and have reliable transportation.
▪ Demonstrated experience with lighting, video, and audio systems for live events or installations. ▪ Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical safety, low-voltage wiring, and pneumatic systems. ▪ Hands-on experience with commonly used prop controllers (e.g., Fright Ideas, Gilderfluke). ▪ Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
▪ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
▪ Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and team communication skills.
▪ Willingness to work nights and weekends throughout the event.
▪ Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
▪ Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
